If you're anything like me, you look at the calendar on February 13th, grumble a little & then surf Pinterest for quick & easy, but cute Valentine's cards!  This year I decided to take things into my own two little hands - EARLY - and get them finished and ready for Valentine's Day.

I wanted something colorful, whimsical and a bit more handcrafted than the cards you frantically buy in a box at the grocery store.  But I also wanted something that was easy, quick and had a bit of character.  My sweet sister is an amazing artist.  Years ago she hand-drew and watercolored these sweet little animals for our Whimsy Kisses shop.  I thought they were just perfect for this project!

Simply print on a piece of card stock or thick matte photo paper and cut them out.  Have your kiddos (or you) fill out the "to" and "from" and voila - sweet little Valentine cards that are both unique and surprisingly frugal!  If you're feeling extra crafty, you can punch a hole in them, add a bit of twine or ribbon & tie them to a treat like a lollipop, a cutie orange or a small toy.  Hooray!  Valentine's Day is checked off your never ending "to do" list!

Hi, I'm Julie and I love to share bits of joy.

Like creating special (and fun) family traditions, celebrating the small moments with big hugs and tiny tea parties, and how I’m embracing mama-hood with a smile...and maybe even a little extra time for myself.

I think that family holds so much magic, from babyhood to adulthood. So, it’s important to me that we celebrate all of it - in my own family here in Lompoc California, and in the LGP family all over the world.

I’ve made this blog into a little place where we can do all of those things together, with teacups and toadstools, tied up with a bow.
